Kelly Carlson is an actress who gained notoriety for her role on the show "Nip/Tuck". She also is a model. Carlson was born February 17th, 1976 in Minneapolis.
She graduated from the Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield, Minnesota. After getting a taste of show business by doing some commercials in her hometown and modeling gigs, Kelly left Minnesota for Los Angeles at the age of 19. Even though she had already studied acting, she got a professional coach once in LA.
She started off her career doing small theatre productions and modeled for companies like "Miller Lite", "Oliver Peoples" sunglasses and "Rembrandt", amongst others. In 2004, she was in "Maxim" magazine and later got the cover of "Stuff" magazine for the October issue.
While modeling, Carlson began to pursue acting seriously and got a small part in the film "3000 Miles to Graceland". It was in 2003 that Kelly Carlson really got her break when she was cast in the show "Nip/Tuck". Her role was as Dr. Christian Troy's girlfriend. Even though the role was just reoccurring, she became a regular character by the third season of the show. She also made appearances on TV shows like "CSI" and "Everwood". From 2004 onwards, Kelly Carlson began to get roles on screen. She appeared in "Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation", "The Marine", "Player 5150" and "Made of Honor". "The Marine" was directed by her then boyfriend, John Bonito.
Since 2008, Carlson has been dating Tie Domi, a former NHL player. Outside of acting and modeling, Kelly Carlson is also the spokesperson for an organization called "The Smile Network" which helps disfigured children in third-world countries receive cosmetic surgery. She also enjoys horseback riding as a hobby.
